



Project Highlights
Project 2026 - 30th May - 1st June 2026
In its 17th year, PROJECT caters to youth from across the globe
PROJECT is a Hip Hop Crew Dance Competition for youth who have a passion for Hip Hop Dance. This event will allow young people to engage in creative expression in a supportive and positive environment that encourages participation and enjoyment. Participants may come from throughout NZ and overseas.
Over three days we provide opportunities for all levels of experience and abilities to showcase their skills. we will have separate school divisions for Intermediate
and Secondary divisions along with the Mega School Division. Our novice entry- level competition gives young dancers the opportunity to take the stage and
experience competitive Hip Hop Dance - we will have Junior Novice and Varsity Novice divisions
We will also see the open division crews at an elite level from all over NZ, and for the first time international crews take to the floor as the crews battle it out for over $20,000
in prize money.
PROJECT is an event where schools can use the performance as an opportunity for assessment of choreography and performance.
- All Dancers must be enrolled in the school they are representing
- Schools will receive 2 complimentary tickets for Management
- An invoice will be sent once your registration has been successfully submitted.
Assessment and recording
- Teachers will be able to video both rehearsal and final performances for assessment purposes and will be provided seats and vantage points to do this
- A Professional Videographer will be there on the day and a copy of this video will be made available to all registered teachers.
(While we will endeavour to provide a recording that includes all participating groups, please be aware that technical issues are beyond our control so this cannot be guaranteed)
